What is Meditation?

I was introduced to meditation few months ago and have been practicing it ever since. I have been noticing some positive changes in the way I think and act. Through this blog I would like to share my experiences and also the knowledge of meditation so that everyone can benefit from the same.

Let us start by trying to understand what meditation is and why do we need to do it?

Meditation is the act of experiencing yourself by relaxing the mind which is possible only by eliminating all the thoughts in the mind whether it is a good or bad thought. Dint we dump our mind with all un necessary /necessary thoughts since we are born and keep dumping it till we die?

Say if we are carrying a heavy load in your hands and walking, we generally would place that load down for some time so that our hands relax and again carry them and proceed. It doesn’t matter if the load is good like bag of sweets/books or bad like a bag of thrash.

Similarly, we need to relax our mind by meditation.

Just like we bath every day and brush our teeth we should also clean our brain by meditation.

There is an immense advantage of doing meditation.

Meditation is “SARVABOGAKARINI” (provider of will to achieve anything) and “SARVAROGANIVARINI” (cure for any disease)

We are what our thoughts are. Meditation helps us in cleaning and relaxing our mind thereby channelizing our thoughts in a positive direction. Thus helping us live healthy way of leading a spiritual life.
